Dear friends of BVT:
We are in an exciting phase in the growth of BVT as a company: the next growing season is around the corner which the team is busy planning for (read more on this further down), market expansion activities are underway despite the difficulties we are all facing from the pandemic and our partnering opportunities are beginning to get better defined. As the business ramps up we require a capital markets approach that provides the company with increased speed and flexibility to support its business needs.
Starting Friday, August 21, 2020, BVT shares will start trading in the Canadian Stock Exchange (CSE) – the last trading day on the TSX-V will be Thursday, August 20, 2020. We believe being listed on the CSE better represents who BVT is today, and gives us greater flexibility and speed in executing our capital markets strategy while at the same time managing our costs. Our ticker symbol will remain unchanged, and the switch will be seamless for investors wanting to buy or sell shares.
We thank the TSX-V for the years we partnered with them, and look forward to the next phase of growth with the CSE. Read the announcement here.

Prepping for the next growing season, amping up sales and more
As the summer growing season draws to a close, we’re now gearing up to support farmers for the next growing season. First priority is the southern states, where the climate is warmer and the next growing cycle commences sooner. Florida strawberry producers prepare the soil in September and plant in October, with the ‘bloom’ starting mid-November onwards. Florida blueberry producers prune their bushes in the fall, with blooming around late December. The season moves northward gradually, with blueberry flowers blooming in January and February for states further north.
That means the BVT team has already started sales activities, including forecasting and planning. BVT sales reps are getting ready to talk with growers about next season’s order commitments, booking one-on-one sales visits and organizing group lunch and learns (with virtual or socially distanced outdoor sessions), planning for conferences (also virtual), and connecting with commercial bee suppliers.

We’ve also been hard at work in the fields this spring and summer, supporting blueberry growers with our technology on their fields throughout Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, Michigan and the Pacific Northwest. Plus, we’ve been doing demonstration trials on sunflowers in Minnesota, North Dakota and Idaho, and cranberries in New Jersey, Massachusetts and Washington.
